Hushaym told us: Abu al-Zubayr informed us, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr, from Abu Ubaydah ibn Abdillah, from his father, that the polytheists kept the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, occupied on the day of the Trench from four prayers, until much of the night had passed, as Allah willed. He said: So he ordered Bilal, and he gave the call to prayer, then gave the announcement to begin and he prayed Dhuhr, then gave the announcement and prayed Asr, then gave the announcement and prayed Maghrib, then gave the announcement and prayed Isha.
