حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ امْرَأَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا لَيْلَى عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ قَالَتْ أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَرَّبْنَا إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا فَكَانَ بَعْضُ مَنْ عِنْدَهُ صَائِمًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُكِلَ عِنْدَ الصَّائِمِ الطَّعَامُ صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ.

Waki' narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Habib ibn Zayd al-Ansari, from a woman called Layla, from Umm Umarah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us, and we brought him food. Some of those present were fasting. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When food is eaten in the presence of a fasting person, the angels send blessings upon him."
