حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ وَيُونُسُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ عَنْ دِحْيَةَ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مِنْ قَرْيَتِهِ إِلَى قَرِيبٍ مِنْ قَرْيَةِ عُقْبَةَ فِي رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَنَّهُ أَفْطَرَ وَأَفْطَرَ مَعَهُ نَاسٌ وَكَرِهَ آخَرُونَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا قَالَ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ إِلَى قَرْيَتِهِ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ الْيَوْمَ أَمْرًا مَا كُنْتُ أَظُنُّ أَنْ أَرَاهُ إِنَّ قَوْمًا رَغِبُوا عَنْ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ لِلَّذِينَ صَامُوا ثُمَّ قَالَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ اللَّهُمَّ اقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hajjaj and Yunus told us, they said: Layth told us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib told me, from Abu al-Khayr, from Mansur al-Kalbi, from Dihyah ibn Khalifah: that he went out from his village to somewhere near the village of Uqbah in Ramadan, then he broke his fast, and some people broke their fast with him, while others disliked to break their fast. When he returned to his village he said: "By Allah, I have seen today a thing I did not think I would see: people who turned away from the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions" — meaning those who had fasted. Then at that he said: "O Allah, take my soul to You."
