حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ تَقَاضَى ابْنَ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ دَيْنًا كَانَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَارْتَفَعَتْ أَصْوَاتُهُمَا حَتَّى سَمِعَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمَا حَتَّى كَشَفَ سِجْفَ حُجْرَتِهِ فَنَادَى يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ مَالِكٍ فَقَالَ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ ضَعْ مِنْ دَيْنِكَ الشَّطْرَ قَالَ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ قُمْ فَاقْضِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us: Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abdullah ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, that his father informed him that he sought to collect a debt owed him by Ibn Abi Hadrad, in the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the mosque, and their voices rose until the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, heard them while he was in his house, so he came out to them until he drew back the curtain of his chamber, and called, "O Ka'b ibn Malik!" He said, "At your service, O Messenger of Allah," and he gestured to him to reduce his debt by half. He said, "I have done so, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Then arise and collect it."
