حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ عَلِيٍّ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَفِيقِي أَبُو سَهْلٍ كَمْ لَكِ قَالَتْ سِتَّةٌ وَثَمَانُونَ سَنَةً قَالَ مَا سَمِعْتِ مِنْ أَبِيكِ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ حَدَّثَتْنِي أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ.

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Musa al-Juhani, he said: I entered upon Fatimah bint 'Ali, and my companion Abu Sahl said to her: How old are you? She said: Eighty-six years. He said: Did you hear anything from your father? She said: Asma' bint 'Umays narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to 'Ali: You are to me in the position of Aaron to Moses, except that there is no prophet after me.
