حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكَّارٍ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ وَلْتَحْسُنْ شَفَاعَتُكُمْ وَلَوْ اخْتَرْتُ رَجُلًا اخْتَرْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍ قَالَ أَبِي و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَكَانَ أَخَاهَا مِنْ الرَّضَاعَةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ و قَالَ أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ الْأُمَّةُ أَرْبَعُونَ إِلَى مِائَةٍ فَصَاعِدًا.

Yahya bin Sa'id told us, from Abu Bakkar, who said: I prayed behind Abu al-Malih at a funeral, and he said: "Straighten your rows, and let your intercession be good; had I chosen a man, I would have chosen him." Then he said: 'Abdullah bin Salit told me - my father said, and Abu 'Ubaydah al-Haddad told us: 'Abdullah bin Salit told me, from one of the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, Maymunah, who was his foster-brother, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no Muslim over whom a community prays but that they are granted intercession for him." Abu al-Malih said: "The community is forty up to a hundred or more."
