حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ فَسَقَتْهُ سَوِيقًا ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي فَقَالَتْ لَهُ تَوَضَّأْ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ قَالَ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ خَالَةُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

'Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar told us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah bin 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Sufyan bin al-Mughirah bin al-Akhnas, that he entered upon Umm Habibah, and she gave him sawiq to drink. Then he stood to pray, so she said to him: "Perform ablution, O son of my brother, for I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'Perform ablution from what the fire has touched.'" Abu al-Yaman told us: Shu'ayb told us: al-Zuhri said: Abu Salamah bin 'Abd al-Rahman informed me that Abu Sufyan bin Sa'id bin al-Akhnas informed him, from Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - and she was the maternal aunt of Abu Sufyan bin Sa'id - and he mentioned the hadith.
