حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ بَيْنَا أَنَا مُضْطَجِعَةٌ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْخَمِيلَةِ إِذْ حِضْتُ فَانْسَلَلْتُ فَأَخَذْتُ ثِيَابَ حَيْضَتِي فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنُفِسْتِ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَدَعَانِي فَاضْطَجَعْتُ مَعَهُ فِي الْخَمِيلَةِ وَكَانَتْ هِيَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَاه هُدْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ بِإِسْنَادِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَمَعْنَاهُ.

Abd al-Malik b. Amr and Abd al-Samad told us: Hisham told us, from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Zaynab bint Umm Salamah, from Umm Salamah, who said: While I was lying with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, under a woolen blanket, I began menstruating, so I slipped away and took my menstrual clothes. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me, "Have you begun your period?" I said, "Yes." So he called me, and I lay down with him again under the blanket. She and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to perform the ritual bath from major impurity from the same vessel, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to kiss her while he was fasting. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Hudbah told us this: Aban b. Yazid al-Attar told us, from Yahya b. Abi Kathir, with the same chain and meaning as this hadith.
