حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ مُظَفَّرُ بْنُ مُدْرِكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ مُسَّةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَتْ النُّفَسَاءُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَقْعُدُ بَعْدَ نِفَاسِهَا أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا أَوْ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً قَالَتْ وَكُنَّا نَطْلِي عَلَى وُجُوهِنَا الْوَرْسَ مِنْ الْكَلَفِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated to us by Abu Kamil Muzaffar ibn Mudrik, who said: Zuhayr narrated to us, who said: Ali ibn Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Abu Sahl of the people of Basra, from Mussah, from Umm Salamah, who said: "Women in confinement after childbirth in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit for forty days or forty nights after their childbirth." She said: "And we used to smear wars on our faces because of dark facial spots."
