حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَبَّرَ لِفَاطِمَةَ شِبْرًا مِنْ نِطَاقِهَا.

'Affan told us, Hammad b. Salamah told us, he said 'Ali b. Zayd told us, from Umm al-Hasan, that Umm Salamah told them that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) measured out for Fatimah a handspan from her waist-wrapper.
