Husayn b. 'Ali told us, from Za'idah, from 'Asim, from al-Musayyab, from Hafsah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down to sleep, he would place his right hand under his right cheek. His right hand was reserved for his food, his purification, his prayer, and his clothing, while his left hand was for whatever else was needed. And he used to fast on Monday and Thursday.
