Asbat ibn Muhammad told us: Mutarrif told us, from Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i, from Abu Ubaydah ibn Abdullah, who said: I said to Aisha, "What is al-Kawthar?" She said: A river given to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the innermost part of Paradise. He said: I said, "What is the innermost part of Paradise?" She said: Its middle; its two banks are of hollowed-out pearl.
