حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا صَوْمَ لَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ يَسْأَلُهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا صَوْمَ لَهُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجْنِبُ ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُجْنِبُ ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ فَكَفَّ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ.

Abida narrated to us, he said: Mansur narrated to me, from Mujahid, from Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: Abu Hurayra said, "Whoever wakes up in a state of ritual impurity has no fast (that day)." So Marwan sent Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman to Aisha to ask her about it. He said to her, "Abu Hurayra says: Whoever wakes up in a state of ritual impurity has no fast." Aisha said, "The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, would indeed be in a state of ritual impurity and then complete his fast." So he sent word to Abu Hurayra and informed him that Aisha said, "The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, would be in a state of ritual impurity and then complete his fast." So Abu Hurayra desisted (from his view).
