حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يُخَيِّرُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَخْتَارُهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ أَتَانِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَأَعْرِضُ عَلَيْكِ أَمْرًا فَلَا عَلَيْكِ أَنْ لَا تَعْجَلِي حَتَّى تُشَاوِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ فَقُلْتُ وَمَا هَذَا الْأَمْرُ قَالَتْ فَتَلَا عَلَيَّ { يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيْنَ أُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَأُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلًا وَإِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنَاتِ مِنْكُنَّ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا } قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ وَفِي أَيِّ ذَلِكَ تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أُشَاوِرَ أَبَوَيَّ بَلْ أُرِيدُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ قَالَتْ فَسُرَّ بِذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَعْجَبَهُ وَقَالَ سَأَعْرِضُ عَلَى صَوَاحِبِكِ مَا عَرَضْتُ عَلَيْكِ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُنَّ كَمَا قَالَ لِعَائِشَةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ قَدْ اخْتَارَتْ عَائِشَةُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَقَدْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نَرَ ذَلِكَ طَلَاقًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, he said: Ja'far narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Zuhri about a man who gives his wife the choice and she chooses him. He said: Urwa ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, from Aisha, who said: The Prophet of God, peace and blessings be upon him, came to me and said, "I am going to present a matter to you, and you need not hasten, but consult your parents." I said, "What is this matter?" She said: Then he recited to me, "O Prophet, say to your wives: If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and release you with a gracious release. But if you desire God and His Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter, then indeed God has prepared for the good-doers among you a great reward." She said: I said, "About which of these would you have me consult my parents? Rather, I desire God and His Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter." She said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was pleased and delighted by that, and said, "I will present to your companions what I presented to you." So he would say to them as he said to Aisha, then say, "Aisha has chosen God and His Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter." Aisha said: So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, gave us the choice, and we did not consider that a divorce.
