Ya’qub told us, and he said: The nephew of Ibn Shihab told us, from his uncle, he said Urwa ibn al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Aisha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'Five kinds of creatures, all of them vicious, may be killed within the sanctuary: the crow, the snake, the scorpion, the biting dog, and the kite.'" And in Ya’qub’s book, in another place, instead of "the snake" it has "the mouse."
