حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَيَدْعُو لَهُمْ فَسَأَلَتْهُ عَائِشَةُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَدْعُوَ لَهُمْ.

Abd al-Malik ibn Amr, from Zuhayr, from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, from his father, from Aisha, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to go out to al-Baqi’ and supplicate for them; Aisha asked him about that, and he said: "I have been commanded to supplicate for them."
