حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَرَقَبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي فَقَامَ فَبَالَ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ نَامَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَعَمَدَ إِلَى الْقِرْبَةِ فَأَطْلَقَ شِنَاقَهَا ثُمَّ صَبَّ فِي الْجَفْنَةِ أَوْ الْقَصْعَةِ وَأَكَبَّ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءًا حَسَنًا بَيْنَ الْوُضُوءَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَنِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَتَكَامَلَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً قَالَ ثُمَّ نَامَ حَتَّى نَفَخَ وَكُنَّا نَعْرِفُهُ إِذَا نَامَ بِنَفْخِهِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى وَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ أَوْ فِي سُجُودِهِ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا وَفِي سَمْعِي نُورًا وَفِي بَصَرِي نُورًا وَعَنْ يَمِينِي نُورًا وَعَنْ يَسَارِي نُورًا وَأَمَامِي نُورًا وَخَلْفِي نُورًا وَفَوْقِي نُورًا وَتَحْتِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْنِي نُورًا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ اجْعَلْ لِي نَوَرًا قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ نَامَ مُضْطَجِعًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
I spent the night at the house of my aunt Maymunah. I watched the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to see how he prayed. He got up, urinated, then washed his face and hands, then went back to sleep. Then he got up and went to the waterskin, loosened its strap, then poured (water) into a basin or bowl, putting his hand over it. Then he performed a good ablution, moderate between two extremes. Then he stood to pray. I came and stood to his left, and he took me and placed me on his right. The prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) totaled thirteen rak'ahs. Then he slept until he snored — we would know he was sleeping by his snoring. Then he went out to the prayer and prayed, saying in his prayer — or in his prostration: 'O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light on my right, light on my left, light in front of me, light behind me, light above me, light below me, and make me light.' Shu'bah said: or he said 'make light for me.' He also said: Amr ibn Dinar narrated to me from Kurayb, from Ibn Abbas, that he (the Prophet) slept lying down.
