حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ جَالِسًا حَتَّى دَخَلَ فِي السِّنِّ فَكَانَ يَجْلِسُ فَيَقْرَأُ حَتَّى إِذَا غَبَرَ مِنْ السُّورَةِ ثَلَاثُونَ أَوْ أَرْبَعُونَ آيَةً قَامَ فَقَرَأَ بِهَا ثُمَّ رَكَعَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Aisha reported: I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recite while sitting during any part of the night prayer. When he grew old, he would recite sitting, and when thirty or forty verses remained, he would stand up and recite them, then bow.
