Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from al-Hakam, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, from Aisha, that she said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wanted to depart, he saw Safiyyah at the door of her tent, looking dejected or sad, having begun her menstrual period. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "May she be bereft! You are indeed detaining us. Did you not perform the tawaf of ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice?" She said, "Yes." He said, "Then depart."
