حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ سَمِعْتُ أَهْلَ عَائِشَةَ يَذْكُرُونَ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَدِيدَ الْإِنْصَابِ لِجَسَدِهِ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ حِينَ دَخَلَ فِي السِّنِّ وَثَقُلَ مِنْ اللَّحْمِ كَانَ أَكْثَرُ مَا يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ.

Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr told us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Abdullah ibn Ubaydullah said, and my father and Ibn Bakr told me, he said: Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah said: I heard Aishah's family mention about her that she used to say: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, exerted his body strenuously in worship, except that when he advanced in age and grew heavy with flesh, most of his prayer was performed sitting."
