حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ سَابِطٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ أَبْطَأْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا حَبَسَكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ رَجُلًا مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَحْسَنَ قِرَاءَةً مِنْهُ قَالَ فَذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا هُوَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي أُمَّتِي مِثْلَكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Numayr told us, he said: Hanzalah told us, from Ibn Sabit, from Aishah, who said: I was late in coming to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so he said: "What kept you, O Aishah?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, there is a man in the mosque; I have never heard anyone recite more beautifully than him." He said: So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went, and there he was, Salim, the freedman of Abu Hudhayfah. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Praise be to Allah, who has placed among my nation someone like you."
