حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ بْنَ الْحَجَّاجِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّفِّ.

Bakr ibn Isa narrated to us, who said: I heard Shu'bah ibn al-Hajjaj relating, from Nu'aym ibn Abi Hind, from Abu Wa'il, from Masruq, from Aisha: that Abu Bakr led the people in prayer while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in the row behind him.
