حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمُرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الطَّاعُونِ فَأَخْبَرَهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابًا يَبْعَثُهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ فَجَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَلَيْسَ مِنْ عَبْدٍ وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ فِي بَلَدِهِ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي بَلَدِهِ صَابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَهُ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ شَهِيدٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Abd al-Rahman narrated to us: Dawud -- that is, Ibn Abi al-Furat -- narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from Yahya ibn Ya'mar, from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that she informed him that she asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about the plague, and the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, informed her that it was a punishment which Allah, Mighty and Sublime, sends upon whom He wills, but Allah made it a mercy for the believers: there is no servant who, when the plague occurs in his land, remains in his land, patient and seeking reward, knowing that nothing will befall him except what Allah has decreed for him, but that he will have a reward like that of a martyr.
