Mujahid reported that a freedman of Aisha's, who used to guide her, told him that whenever she heard the sound of a bell ahead of her, she would say, "Stop for me," and he would stop until she could no longer hear it; and when she heard it and it had already come into view, she would say, "Hurry me along," so that she would not hear it. And she said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has a companion from among the jinn."
