حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَعَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ وَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ فَقَالَتْ لِي هَلْ لَكِ إِلَى أَنْ تُرْضِينَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِّي وَأَجْعَلُ لَكِ يَوْمِي قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَتْ خِمَارًا لَهَا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ فَرَشَّتْهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ اخْتَمَرَتْ بِهِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ لِيَفُوحَ رِيحُهُ ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمِهَا فَجَلَسَتْ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَقَالَ إِلَيْكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ فَلَيْسَ هَذَا يَوْمَكِ فَقُلْتُ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ثُمَّ أَخْبَرْتُهُ خَبَرِي قَالَ عَفَّانُ فَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was displeased with Safiyyah bint Huyayy. She said to me, "Would you be willing to reconcile the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with me, and I will give you my turn?" I said, "Yes." So she took a veil of hers dyed with saffron and sprinkled it with water, then covered herself with it - so that its scent would spread - then went in to him on her own day and sat beside him. He said, "Away from me, Aisha, this is not your day." I said, "It is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills," then I told him my story, and he became pleased with her.
