حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُذْرَةَ قَالَ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى الرِّجَالَ وَالنِّسَاءَ عَنْ الْحَمَّامَاتِ ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لِلرِّجَالِ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوهَا فِي الْمَآزِرِ.

Affan narrated to us: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Shaddad informed us, from Abu Udhrah - who had met the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - from A'ishah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade men and women from public bathhouses, then permitted men to enter them wearing lower wraps.
