Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, from Sulayman, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, from Aisha, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever he visited a sick person, would wipe him with his hand and say: 'Take away the affliction, O Lord of mankind, and heal - You are the Healer; there is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.' Then when he fell ill with the illness from which he died, Aisha said: I took his hand and was about to say the same, but he withdrew his hand and said: 'O Allah, forgive me, and place me among the Highest Companions.'
