Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik told us: Muhammad ibn Salamah told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, from A'ishah, who said: "Salamah bint Suhayl ibn Amr suffered from prolonged menstrual bleeding, so she came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him about that. He commanded her to perform ghusl for every prayer; but when that became too hard for her, he commanded her to combine the noon and afternoon prayers with one ghusl, the sunset and night prayers with one ghusl, and the dawn prayer with its own ghusl."
