حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا السُّدِّيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَهِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ لِلْجَارِيَةِ نَاوِلِينِي الْخُمْرَةَ قَالَتْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْسُطَهَا فَيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّهَا حَائِضٌ قَالَ إِنَّ حَيْضَهَا لَيْسَ فِي يَدِهَا.

Abu Sa'id told us: Za'idah told us: al-Suddi told us, from Abdullah al-Bahi, who said: A'ishah told me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in the mosque, and he said to the young girl: "Hand me the prayer mat" - he wanted to spread it out and pray on it - she said: "It is menstruating," meaning, I am menstruating, and he said: "Her menstruation is not in her hand."
