حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ أَنْ يُسْتَمْتَعَ بِجُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ إِذَا دُبِغَتْ.

Abu Salamah told us: Malik informed us, from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn Qusayt, from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Thawban, from his mother, from A'ishah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded that use be made of the hides of dead animals once they had been tanned.
