Abu Salamah al-Khuza'i told us: Malik informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwah, from A'ishah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite the protective chapters over himself and blow upon himself. A'ishah said: when he fell ill, peace and blessings be upon him, I began reciting over him and wiping him with his own hand, hoping for the blessing of his hand.
