حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ الْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If I were to take a khalil (intimate friend), I would have taken Abu Bakr as a khalil. But he is my brother and my companion. And Allah, Blessed and Most High, has taken your companion (meaning himself) as a khalil.'
