Musa ibn Dawud narrated to us, he said: Faraj ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Walid al-Zubaydi, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Aishah, who said: I was with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said, "O Aishah, if only we had someone with us to converse with us." She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I send for Abu Bakr?" He remained silent, then said again, "If only we had someone with us to converse with us." I said, "Shall I send for Umar?" He remained silent. She said: Then he called a young servant before him and whispered to him, and he went off. She said: Then Uthman was there seeking permission to enter, so he was given permission, and he entered, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, conversed privately with him at length, then said, "O Uthman, indeed Allah, Mighty and Sublime, will clothe you in a garment; if the hypocrites want you to remove it, do not remove it for them — no indeed" — he said this to him twice or three times.
