Zakariyya b. Adi told us, saying: Ubaydullah b. Amr al-Raqqi informed us, from Ishaq b. Rashid, from Abd al-Hamid b. Abd al-Rahman b. Zayd b. al-Khattab, from Awf b. Malik, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at Tabuk at the end of the night, while he was in a tent, or he said, a dome made of leather. He said: I asked, then requested permission, saying, "Shall I enter?" He said, "Enter." I said, "Wholly?" He said, "Wholly." He said: So I entered, and there he was performing a lengthy, unhurried ablution.
