حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جُبَيْرُ بْنُ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ عَوْفٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَفَهِمْتُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ عَلَيْهِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّهِ مِنْ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنْ الدَّنَسِ وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَزَوْجَةً خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَنَجِّهِ مِنْ النَّارِ وَقِهِ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi told us, from Mu'awiyah, from Habib b. Ubayd, who said: Jubayr b. Nufayr told me, from Awf, who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pray over a deceased person, and I understood from his prayer over him: 'O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him well-being, pardon him, honor his reception, widen his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, and cleanse him of sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt, and give him in exchange a home better than his home, a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse, and admit him into Paradise, and save him from the Fire, and protect him from the punishment of the grave.'"
