حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى أَنَّ سَهْلَ بْنَ حُنَيْفٍ وَقَيْسَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ كَانَا قَاعِدَيْنِ بِالْقَادِسِيَّةِ فَمَرُّوا بِجِنَازَةٍ فَقَامَا فَقِيلَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرُّوا عَلَيْهِ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَقَامَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهُ يَهُودِيٌّ فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَتْ نَفْسًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Shu'ba, and Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'ba narrated to us from Amr ibn Murra from Ibn Abi Layla, that Sahl ibn Hunayf and Qays ibn Sa'd were sitting at al-Qadisiyya, and a funeral bier passed by, so they stood up. It was said [to them], "It is only one of the people of the land [a non-Muslim]." They said: "A funeral bier passed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he stood up. It was said to him, 'It is a Jew.' He said, 'Is it not a soul?'"
