حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَيَّارًا أَبَا الْحَكَمِ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا يَعْنِي قُبَاءً قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَثْنَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الطُّهُورِ خَيْرًا أَفَلَا تُخْبِرُونِي قَالَ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ { فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ } قَالَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَجِدُهُ مَكْتُوبًا عَلَيْنَا فِي التَّوْرَاةِ الِاسْتِنْجَاءُ بِالْمَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ عَنْ سَلَّامِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الْجَارِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us: Malik -- meaning Ibn Mighwal -- narrated to us, he said: I heard Sayyar Abu al-Hakam narrate more than once from Shahr ibn Hawshab from Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Salam, he said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us -- meaning Quba -- he said: "Allah, Mighty and Sublime, has praised you regarding purification with good words -- will you not tell me about it?" -- meaning His saying: {In it are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves.} He said: They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we find it written upon us in the Torah: cleansing with water (after relieving oneself)." Yazid narrated to us from Sallam ibn Miskin: Shahr ibn Hawshab narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Salam, and he mentioned the hadith of the neighbor.
