Waki' and Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, they said: Sufyan narrated to us from Mansur from Ibrahim from Hammam ibn al-Harith, he said: A man came to Uthman and praised him to his face. So al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad began throwing dust in his face, saying: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us that when we meet the flatterers, we throw dust in their faces."
