It was narrated to us by Affan, who said: It was narrated to us by Abu Awanah, who said: It was narrated to us by Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Rib'i, who said: Uqbah ibn Amr said to Hudhayfah: "Will you not tell us what you heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say?" He said: I heard him say: "Indeed with the Dajjal, when he appears, are water and fire: that which people see as fire is [in truth] cold water, and that which people see as water is [in truth] fire that burns. So whoever among you encounters that, let him fall into that which he sees as fire, for it is sweet, cold water."
