حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ أُمِّ عُثْمَانَ ابْنَةِ سُفْيَانَ وَهِيَ أُمُّ بَنِي شَيْبَةَ الْأَكَابِرِ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَدْ بَايَعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَا شَيْبَةَ فَفَتَحَ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَرَجَعَ وَفَرَغَ وَرَجَعَ إِذَا رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَجِبْ فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ فِي الْبَيْتِ قَرْنًا فَغَيِّبْهُ قَالَ مَنْصُورٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُسَافِعٍ عَنْ أُمِّي عَنْ أُمِّ عُثْمَانَ ابْنَةِ سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي الْبَيْتِ شَيْءٌ يُلْهِي الْمُصَلِّينَ.

Ali ibn Ishaq told us, Abdullah informed us, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us, from Mansur ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his mother, from Umm Uthman the daughter of Sufyan, who is the mother of Banu Shaybah al-Akabir - Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman said: and she had given allegiance to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called Shaybah, and he opened the door; when he entered the House and returned and finished and came back, there was the messenger of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saying, "Answer the call." So he went to him, and he said, "I saw a horn in the House, so hide it away." Mansur said: Abdullah ibn Musafi' told me, from my mother, from Umm Uthman the daughter of Sufyan, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him in the hadith, "It is not fitting that there be in the House anything that distracts those who pray."
