Abu al-Nadr told us, Abu Mu'awiyah - meaning Shayban - told us, from Layth, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, who said: the Ansari, the keeper of the Messenger of Allah's, peace and blessings be upon him, sacrificial camels, told me that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent him with them, he said: I came back and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you order me regarding one of them that becomes disabled?" He said, "Slaughter it, then dip its sandal-mark in its blood, then place it on its side, and do not eat from it, neither you nor anyone of your traveling companions."
