حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ أَوْ ابْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَسْلَمَ صُومُوا الْيَوْمَ قَالُوا إِنَّا قَدْ أَكَلْنَا قَالَ صُومُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad and Hajjaj told us: Shu'ba told us, from Qatada, from Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Minhal or Ibn Maslama, from his uncle - Hajjaj said: from Abd ar-Rahman Abu al-Minhal ibn Maslama al-Khuza'i, from his uncle - that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to [the tribe of] Aslam: Fast this day. They said, "We have already eaten." He said: Then fast the rest of your day - meaning the day of Ashura.
