حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ مَا قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْجِنِّ وَلَا رَآهُمْ انْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَامِدِينَ إِلَى سُوقِ عُكَاظٍ وَقَدْ حِيلَ بَيْنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ وَأُرْسِلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ الشُّهُبُ قَالَ فَرَجَعَتْ الشَّيَاطِينُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَقَالُوا مَا لَكُمْ قَالُوا حِيلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ وَأُرْسِلَتْ عَلَيْنَا الشُّهُبُ قَالَ فَقَالُوا مَا حَالَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ حَدَثَ فَاضْرِبُوا مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا فَانْظُرُوا مَا هَذَا الَّذِي حَالَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقُوا يَضْرِبُونَ مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا يَبْتَغُونَ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي حَالَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ فَانْصَرَفَ النَّفَرُ الَّذِينَ تَوَجَّهُوا نَحْوَ تِهَامَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِنَخْلَةَ عَامِدًا إِلَى سُوقِ عُكَاظٍ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلَاةَ الْفَجْرِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا الْقُرْآنَ اسْتَمَعُوا لَهُ وَقَالُوا هَذَا وَاللَّهِ الَّذِي حَالَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ فَهُنَالِكَ حِينَ رَجَعُوا إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَقَالُوا يَا قَوْمَنَا { إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ } الْآيَةَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ } وَإِنَّمَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ قَوْلُ الْجِنِّ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did not recite (Quran) to the jinn, nor did he see them. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) set out with a group of his Companions heading to the market of Ukaz. A barrier had been placed between the devils and the news of heaven, and flaming stars were sent upon them. The devils returned to their people, who asked: 'What is wrong with you?' They said: 'A barrier has been placed between us and the news of heaven, and flaming stars have been sent upon us.' They said: 'Nothing has blocked you from the news of heaven except something that has occurred. Go search the east and west of the earth to find out what has blocked you from the news of heaven.' A group of them headed toward Tihamah and came upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at Nakhlah while he was heading to the market of Ukaz. He was leading his Companions in the Fajr prayer. When they heard the Quran, they listened to it and said: 'By Allah, this is what has blocked you from the news of heaven.' They returned to their people and said: 'O our people, indeed we have heard an amazing recitation that guides to the right path, so we have believed in it.' Then Allah revealed to His Prophet (peace be upon him): 'Say: It has been revealed to me...' (72:1). What was revealed to him was the words of the jinn.
