حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مَنْجُوفٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِيًّا إِلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ لِيَقْسِمَ الْخُمُسَ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ مَرَّةً لِيَقْبِضَ الْخُمُسَ قَالَ فَأَصْبَحَ عَلِيٌّ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ قَالَ فَقَالَ خَالِدٌ لِبُرَيْدَةَ أَلَا تَرَى إِلَى مَا يَصْنَعُ هَذَا لِمَا صَنَعَ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ وَكُنْتُ أُبْغِضُ عَلِيًّا قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا بُرَيْدَةُ أَتُبْغِضُ عَلِيًّا قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَلَا تُبْغِضْهُ قَالَ رَوْحٌ مَرَّةً فَأَحِبَّهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ فِي الْخُمُسِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Rawh told us: Ali ibn Suwayd ibn Manjuf told us, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent Ali to Khalid ibn al-Walid to divide the fifth share - Rawh once said: to take possession of the fifth share. Ali arose the next morning with his head dripping. Khalid said to Buraydah: Do you not see what this man does? because of what Ali had done. He said: I used to dislike Ali. He said: Khalid said: O Buraydah, do you dislike Ali? I said: Yes. He said: Then do not dislike him - Rawh once said: love him - for he has a greater share in the fifth than that.
