حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَمِيلٌ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا يُدْرِكْنِي زَمَانٌ أَوْ لَا تُدْرِكُوا زَمَانًا لَا يُتْبَعُ فِيهِ الْعَلِيمُ وَلَا يُسْتَحَى فِيهِ مِنْ الْحَلِيمِ قُلُوبُهُمْ قُلُوبُ الْأَعَاجِمِ وَأَلْسِنَتُهُمْ أَلْسِنَةُ الْعَرَبِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us: Ibn Lahi'ah informed us: Jamil al-Aslami narrated to us, from Sahl ibn Sa'd, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Allah, let me not live to see -- or: let you not live to see -- a time in which the learned man is not followed, and in which no shame is felt before the forbearing one; their hearts are the hearts of foreigners, while their tongues are the tongues of the Arabs."
