حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا عَلَيْهَا وَالرَّوْحَةُ يَرُوحُهَا الْعَبْدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ الْغَدْوَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا عَلَيْهَا وَمَوْضِعُ سَوْطِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا عَلَيْهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us: 'Abd al-Rahman -- meaning Ibn 'Abdullah ibn Dinar -- narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Standing guard for a day in the path of Allah is better than the world and all that is upon it, and the evening journey a servant makes in the path of Allah, or the morning journey, is better than the world and all that is upon it, and the space of one of your whips in Paradise is better than the world and all that is upon it."
