حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَدْ حَفِظْتُ السُّنَّةَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي لَا أَدْرِي أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ أَمْ لَا وَلَا أَدْرِي كَيْفَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ هَذَا الْحَرْفَ { وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنْ الْكِبَرِ عُتِيًّا } أَوْ عُسُيًّا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
I have memorized the entire Sunnah, except that I do not know whether the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to recite in the Dhuhr and Asr prayers or not. And I do not know how he used to recite this letter (in the verse): 'And I have reached extreme old age' — whether it was 'utiyya or 'usiyya.
