حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِهَؤُلَاءِ الثَّمَانِ كَلِمَاتٍ وَزَادَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah narrated to us, from his father, that he witnessed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pray over a deceased person. He heard him say: "O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those of us who are present and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females." He said: And Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to me these eight phrases and added two more: "Whoever among us You keep alive, let him live upon Islam. And whoever among us You cause to die, cause him to die upon faith." 'Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Ibrahim, from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a similar narration.
