حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ صَالِحٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي حَسَّانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ فِي طَلِيعَةٍ قِبَلَ غَيْقَةَ وَوَدَّانَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ وَأَبُو قَتَادَةَ غَيْرُ مُحْرِمٍ فَإِذَا حِمَارُ وَحْشٍ فَطَلَبَ مِنْهُمْ سَوْطًا فَلَمْ يُنَاوِلُوهُ فَاخْتَلَسَ سَوْطَ بَعْضِهِمْ فَصَادَ حِمَارًا وَحْشِيًّا فَأَكَلُوهُ ثُمَّ لَحِقُوا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَالْأَبْوَاءِ قَالُوا إِنَّا صَنَعْنَا شَيْئًا لَا نَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَقَالَ أَطْعِمُونَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Husayn narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from Salih - meaning Ibn Abi Hassan - from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent him on a scouting mission toward Ghayqah and Waddan. He was in ihram while Abu Qatadah was not. He spotted a wild donkey, so he asked them for a whip, but they refused to give it to him. He snatched the whip of one of them and hunted a wild donkey. They ate from it, then they caught up with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at al-Abwa'. They said: 'We did something we do not know (the ruling of).' He said: 'Feed us from it.'
