Suwayd ibn 'Amr al-Kalbi narrated to us, Aban ibn Yazid al-'Attar narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to lead us in prayer and recite in Zuhr and 'Asr in the first two rak'ahs two surahs and Umm al-Kitab (the Opening Chapter). He would sometimes let us hear a verse. And in the last two rak'ahs he recited Umm al-Kitab. He used to lengthen the first rak'ah of the Zuhr prayer and 'Asr prayer. And he used to say: "When the iqamah for prayer is called, do not stand up until you see me."
